Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Fitter for an expanding local company, working on days from Monday to Friday.

Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of hand deburring and finishing of components, polishing of seal faces, tapping, and drilling. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing the manufacture from drawings.
Manufactures and sets-up port configurations while achieving tolerances to drawing specifications.
Completes process from blueprints, verbal and written instructions.

Highly Skilled Level (4):
Skill: As a skilled specialist, completes tasks in creative and effective ways.
Job Complexity: Works on assignments requiring considerable judgement and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.

Supervision: Determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
May provide guidance to other non exempt personnel.

Experience & Education: Completion of formal apprenticeship, vocational training or equivalent is preferred.
Requires production experience in mechanical assembly, reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, ability to work from established drawings.
Minimum of 4-6 years of related experience.

Our Benefits / Salary Package are:

1. Apprentice Trained Rate £12.28/hr, Non-Apprentice Trained rate £11.62/hr
2. 39hrs Standard working week
3. Flexible start 7.30 - 8.00am, flexible finish 4.30-5.30pm, 1pm finish on Friday
4. All overtime at 1.5 x base rate
5. Life Insurance 4 x Annual Salary
6. Sick Pay after 12 months continuous employment, 12 weeks payable within any 12 month period
7. Attendance Bonus, currently £540 / yr paid in January, rules apply
8. 25 Days holiday + 8 Stats
9. Stock and Shares Purchase scheme
